Wojciech Kowalewski

Wojciech (Voytek) Kowalewski was born on 4/15/1957 in Warsaw, Poland to Henryk and Wieslawa Kowalewski.  In 1983 he graduated with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering (MEiL) at Warsaw Institute of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska).

In 1992 Wojciech and his family emigrated to Canada and in 2002 the family moved to Portland, Oregon.  In Canada Wojciech obtained the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta certification in Engineering.  Throughout his life, he worked in multiple design offices, mainly designing power plants and related projects. His specialty was piping design.

Wojciech is survived by his wife Maria, daughters Angie (son-in-law Nikolas) and Christina (son-in-law Kurt), grandchildren Marcus, Christian and Mary as well as older brother Henryk, his wife Hanna and their son Robert.

A Rosary will be held at 6:30pm followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Thursday, April 27th at 7:00pm.
