Theodore "Ted" Sebastian

July 30, 1940 — October 15, 2024

Ted Sebastian was born on July 30, 1940, on the beautiful Oregon Coast to Charles and Grace Sebastian. Growing up in Oregon, Ted attended Nestucca High School before choosing to serve his country by joining the U.S. Marines at age 17. His service took him to 29 Palms in San Diego and Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, where he rose to the rank of Corporal, serving as a Military Police officer.

In Salem, Oregon, on February 9, 1963, Ted married Donna Schmitz, with whom he shared many years of love and family until her tragic passing in 1985. Ted dedicated much of his career to Transco Industries, working there from 1962 until his retirement in 2024, with a hiatus from 1987 to 2000 when he joined Renaissance Homes.

Ted found joy in the outdoors, especially while fishing for salmon and steelhead or hunting elk, passions he shared with his sons and grandsons. His love of nature and dedication to family were constants in his life.

Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn Sebastian, whom he married on February 6th 1999 in West Linn, Oregon. He is also survived by his sons, Troy of Prescott, Arizona, and Randal of West Linn, Oregon; and his grandchildren, Theodore Sebastian, Rachel Rodriguez, Sara Sebastian, Kristina Teichert, Sophia Sebastian, Conner Sebastian. Great grandchildren, Ezra Teichert and Winifred Teichert and brother Bruce Sebastian of Southern Oregon.

Ted passed peacefully in his sleep on October 15, 2024, at his home in Arizona, at the age of 84. His life was marked by service, dedication, adventure, and an enduring love for his family and friends.
