Shirley Elaine Franz

Shirley passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 5, 2023.  She died of natural causes at the age of 80.  She is survived by her two brothers, Ray & Bob and by two of her sisters, Renee & Donna.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Marie. Her sister Mary passed away this last summer.  Shirley had no spouse or children.

Shirley graduated from St. Johns Catholic grade school and then graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1964.  She retired from working at OHSU after 22 years.

Shirley was a very devout Catholic and followed her love of God throughout her life.

She will be remembered as a friendly, helpful person and will be missed.

Her funeral will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Thursday November 16 at Noon and will be preceded by a Rosary at 11:30am. Her burial will follow at Gethsemani Funeral Home in Happy Valley. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite Catholic charity.
