Richard W. Humphrey

Richard W. Humphrey, 78, of Portland, Oregon, passed away on November 15th, 2024. Richard was born in Los Angeles, California, on August 4th, 1946. Richard earned his MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkley, California. Richard was survived by his brother, James Humphrey, his family, and his life partner, Mary Jo La Ferr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Dorothy Humphrey. Richard was a part of the outdoor industry in Portland for 50 years. His iconic retail store, Oregon Mountain Community, holds deep memories for many. Richard also had a deep passion for fishing. He enjoyed international travel, business, and the friendships he held for many years and will be missed by all who knew him.

A private service will be held at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Portland, Oregon, on February 6th, 2025.
