Peter Theodore Tutmark, age 90, died Tuesday June 7, 2022 at his home in Portland OR, surrounded by family.
Born on May 9, 1932 in Seattle, he was the son of Peter H. and Hattie Tutmark. The youngest in the family, he had five older sisters who were thrilled to finally have a little brother, their "Teddy Bear". A standout athlete at Edmonds High School he played football and basketball.
He served in the U.S. Army, where he met and married Margie Tutmark, with whom he raised three children.
After his military service he attended the University of Washington, graduating in 1958 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, a field he enjoyed until retirement.
When younger he enjoyed family camping trips, fishing, and competing in masters swimming events. He loved watching sports, mainly football, basketball and of course the Mariners!
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Ilene Tutmark, his sister June Underhill, children Peter Tutmark and wife Cathy, their sons Jeffrey and David Tutmark, Bradley Tutmark and son Ryle Tutmark, Lisa Tutmark and her sons Andrew, Zachary and Grant Galligan. Step daughters Vicki Sears (Mark), Peggy Severson (Mark), Katie Cooper (Roger Mellon), their families and numerous great grandchildren.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Margie Tutmark (1936-2003), second wife Darlene Painter-Tutmark (1937-2013), sisters Gloria, Dorothy, Millie and Gladys, and step-grandson Alec Sears.

They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard but always near,
So loved so missed, so very dear.
"Peter had three beautiful words in his vocabulary he said often,
I love you. I am going to miss hearing these words from my best friend, my husband."
