Pedro Antonio Prieto López, 24, from Mexico City passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 in Portland, Oregon

Antonio was born in Mexico City to Cecilia Lopez and Pedro Prieto. He moved with his family to Mt. Tabor, a neighborhood in Southeast Portland in 2000. He graduated from Franklin High School where he was part of the football and wrestling teams.  He then attended Portland Community College. He worked as a salesman, a profession that would challenge his quiet demeanor and bring out his gregarious personality.

Antonio was a thoughtful gentle giant with an infectious laugh. His determined and disciplined nature was his biggest strength and weakness. His goals and passions would consume every moment of his life. He was incredibly smart, with a passion for fitness, science, and learning. He spent his free time watching anime, going for scenic drives, consuming obscure media, and creating the best playlist for every occasion. He made sure the people in his life knew how much he loved them without asking for anything in return. Antonio was the person that would always show up for you. He faced many adversities at a young age but focused on the positive, and only saw the good in people.

His passing is an unspeakable tragedy that touches many lives. He leaves behind his parents, two sisters, Evelyn (29) and Addie (16), and his brother Gael (10).
