Paulita was born on April 6, 1931 in Ann Arbor, Michigan and passed away on on February 22, 2020 in Gladstone, Oregon. Her mother was from El Salvador, her father was American and she spent time in both countries during her youth.
Paulita held a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from University of Michigan. She was a professional conference interpreter for the United Nations, based out of Geneva, Switzerland for over 40 years.
Paulita traveled the world several times over during her career. She was known for her incredible intelligence, extraordinary gift for learning languages, her fabulous sense of humor, and her deep Catholic faith. She loved to play cards, eat oysters, and enjoy a good glass of wine or scotch. Paulita brought class, character, and color to every room she was in. She will be deeply missed.
