Patrick Chaesop Kim was born in Incheon South Korean on September 18, 1937. Son of Kyung-Hak Kim (father) and Tae-Jin Lee (mother), and the oldest of 4 children. He was married to Cecilia Whacha Kim (deceased) for 42 years. He is survived by son Thomas Songuk Kim (Jeanie Kim wife) and daughter Angela Yonghi Roelofs (Nathan Roelofs husband), and grandchildren: Jonah Edward Kim, Sophia Elizabeth Kim, Jack Thomas Kim, Theodore Kang E Roelofs, Agatha Une Ne Roelofs.
Patrick was a self-made man, and one dedicated to his family. In South Korea, he worked for the Korean army and acted as a liaison with the United States army, and through that work he was sponsored to emigrate to the United States. He courageously lead his young family to a foreign land - the United States - in 1976. He primarily worked for General Motors, retiring after over 25 years. He was an avid fisherman and during retirement he learned how to use the computer, including translating a number of books from English to Korean. But most of all, he enjoyed seeing his children and grandchildren and celebrating their milestones and achievements.”
Also in lieu of flowers we are asking to donate to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in Patrick’s honor.
