Martin Gaytan Molina passed away on December 9th, 2024, at the age of 57. Born on July 11th, 1967, in Mexico City, Mexico, Martin moved to Portland in 1984 at the age of 17, where he would build his future.
As the first in his family to graduate from a US university, Martin earned his Business Administration degree from George Fox University, later establishing a career in accounting. In July 2007, he married Wendy Delgado, and together they created a beautiful family with their beloved daughters Camila (8) and Emma (5).
Martin's greatest joy was being surrounded by people, especially his family. A natural unifying force, he built lasting friendships wherever he went and loved sharing everything he had with others. Whether skiing with friends or lighting up a room with his stylish outfits, Martin brought joy to every occasion. Weekends were devoted to creating precious memories with his loved ones, from shared family meals to adventuring and relaxing at home with his wife and daughters. At gatherings, Martin's infectious laughter and warm spirit were contagious. He could often be found on the dance floor, sharing his love of music and dancing with everyone present, and enthusiastically teaching young relatives how to dance cumbia and salsa.
His loyalty to friends and constant support of family, especially his daughters and nieces, defined his character. Martin's warm presence and dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
He is survived by his loving wife Wendy; daughters Emma and Camila; his mother Jacoba Molina; and his sisters Marta Gaitan Silva, Juana Gaitan Molina, Alma Gaytan Mares, and Araceli Gaytan.
