In Memoriam: Mommy Leonor Santos 

Today, we gather to honor and remember the extraordinary life of Leonor, who at the age of 98, left an indelible mark on this world through her boundless self-giving and unwavering commitment to her family. Leonor’s life was a vivid example of unending love, resilience, and untiring hope, woven with the threads of her ceaseless efforts to secure a rightful place for her loved ones in this world. 

Born into a world of challenges ravaged by war, Leonor quickly learned the value of standing firm in the face of adversity. Her life was a continuous battle, not for personal gain, but for the rights and wellbeing of her family. With a heart brimming with love and hands that never tired, she worked tirelessly to ensure that none of her children were ever taken advantage of. Her strength was their bastion, her love their haven. 

Leonor’s legacy of love and resilience is carried on by her surviving three sons and a daughter, who embody the values she instilled in them. Her wisdom was their guiding star, her faith in them a solid rock. Additionally, she leaves behind a legacy through her 11 grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring love and teachings. 

Her legacy transcends material possessions or public accolades. It resides in the hearts and lives of those she touched and molded. She was more than a mother; she was a warrior, a mentor, and an embodiment of hope. To those who had the privilege of knowing her, her spirit was a living testament to the profound truth that in giving selflessly, she would single out first the one most in need while rallying others to do the same. 

As we bid goodbye to Leonor, let us not be engulfed by grief. Rather, let us celebrate a life extraordinarily lived, a journey marked by an endless capacity for generosity and a steadfast devotion to lifting others. Her memory will continue to be a source of hope and strength for her children and grandchildren. 

In her memory, let us vow to continue her legacy of selfless love and tireless advocacy for others. Her story, rich in lessons of selflessness and compassion, will forever be a beacon for our family, inspiring future generations.
