Don passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, after struggling through a long illness. He was born in Portland, Oregon to Francis Farrelly and Mary Farrelly Baker. He was 83.
Don attended St. Andrews Grade School, Central Catholic High School (1956) and Portland U. (1960)
He had a successful career as a CPA for North Pacific Lumber Company and multiple business endeavors with his sons. Don was in ROTC and The Air National Guard, 142nd Fighter Group in Portland.
He met the love of his life, Phillis (Wanner), at CYO Young Peoples Club when they were just 15 years old. He proposed to her on Easter Saturday in "The Pickle Patch"! They were married on June 7th, 1958 for 63 WONDERFUL years. Together they raised a family of 5 children.
Next came the 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren (with 3 more on the way). He was best known as Boppa to all!
Don was a gentle, kind, dedicated, giving, faithful, wise and generous man. Don lived by the motto: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!"
He loved to golf and belonged to Columbia Edgewater Country Club for 44 years.
Most of all he loved his family more than anything! They spent many happy times together at their beach cabin "FARMO" in Rockaway! Other memorable vacations included Sunriver, Canada, San Francisco, and Hawaii!
He is survived by his wife Phillis, children: Lori (Steve), Linda (Phil), Kerri (Craig), Donald and Douglas, along with many other family and friends. Funeral service is on Friday, April 8, 2022, 11:00am Ascension Catholic Church.
