David Max Basaraba

David Max Basaraba died September 27^th, 2023 at home. He was born in Portland, OR to Walter and Katherine Basaraba. David graduated from Central Catholic High School and Portland State University.

Dave loved his family, music, and movies. He spent his working life as a manager in Portland movie theaters, many now extinct, retiring from the Cinema 21. He loved working with the theater crews, and they shared as much levity as possible.

He is survived by his wife, Joy, brothers Edward and Donald (Marilee), and many sisters & brother’s in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary. We would like to thank Kaiser, Legacy Emanuel, and the Fire Dept Paramedics for their care and help. A celebration of his life will take place in November.
