Mr. Giuse Đinh Đức Thịnh, also known as Dave Dinh, passed away on Tuesday, February 28th 2023, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 75. He was born on August 1st, 1947 to Dinh Minh Thông and Phan Thi Nga, in Thuc Hoa, Nam Dinh, Vietnam where he spent his childhood.

He was the 2nd child out of six children. He is survived by his siblings Sen, Tam, Huong, Thu, and Man.

In 1968, he married to Vũ Thị Thúy Vân and together they raised six children; Hoang (deceased), Thu Ha, Van Ha (spouse: Huan Nguyen), Quang (spouse: Thao Ngo), Giang, and Randy (spouse: Phuong Tran). He loved spending time with his grandchildren, Daniel and Grace Trang, Elizabeth, Mathew, and Ann Nguyen, Sara and Sam Dinh, Michael Dinh and Jeffery Dinh (deceased), and Kiyan Dinh. He was a devoted husband and father who worked hard to provide for his family. He worked at Haworth as a machinist for 30 + years from which he retired. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tending to his yard, especially his lawn.
Thinh will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His legacy will live on through the memories he created and the impact he had on those around him.

In Lieu of Flowers, please offer Holy Mass or pray the Rosary for the repose of the soul of Joseph Thinh Duc Dinh. And in accordance with his family wishes, if possible memorial contribution may be made to support the New Hope Building Fund - Our Lady of Lavang Church.
