Brian Michael Gagnier, age 79, passed away in his Oregon City home on March 22, 2021. He graduated in 1960 from Grant High School in Portland, Oregon. Stationed at West Point, New York, from 1962-1964, Brian delighted in driving Presidential golf carts and the ice hockey team's Zamboni machine. Following his years of service, Brian returned home to Oregon and met Barbara Aleksich. They married in 1969 and shared three children. Brian and Barb were happily married until her passing in 1997. Brian reveled in telling stories from his time driving taxi cabs and his 30 years of employment at Tri-Met. In 1998, Brian met his surviving wife, Betty Beard, with whom he traveled the world on various cruises. Brian's hobbies included photography, computers, and consuming In-N-Out burgers and Dutch Bros. coffee.
Brian was preceded in death by his first wife, Barb, and their infant son, Jeffrey Dean. Brian is survived by his brother, Curt Gagnier (Debbie). Brian is also survived by his wife, Betty. Additionally, Brian's children include daughter Maureen Gagnier (Jeff), son Michael, stepsons Kevin Beard (Fairlight) and Ryan Beard (Vanessa), and stepdaughter Erin Robertson (John). Brian also cherished the company of several grandchildren: Maddie, Drew, Allie, Trevor, Brayden, Bridget, Owen, Elise, and Griffin. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
