Betty L. Gerg

Born in Mankato, MN to Albert and Anna Schickling, she was the youngest of six children.  As a young child, the family moved to Portland Oregon where she resided her entire life.

 She was married to Norman in 1954 – who preceded her in death in 1990.

 Together they had three children: Steven, Gail Rask (Mike), and Christina Benitz (Tony), four grandchildren; Nicole, JD, John and Linsey and four great-grandchildren.

 Betty worked for First Interstate Bank for 30 years rising to the position of Senior Trust Officer until her retirement.

 Betty was an accomplished crafter including cross-stitch, crochet, ceramics and especially quilting.

 Her love for gardening was evident with her beautiful dahlias, numerous potted plants and well maintained yard that she kept up well in to her 80's.

 Betty was the matriarch of her family. The entire family settled within a short drive to her house where they all would celebrate every Christmas together in the house where she lived in since 1967.

 Betty joined the Lord above in her house surrounded by the family she loved so much.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
