Barbara Ann Nizich

October 8, 1946 — May 28, 2022

Barbara Ann Nizich was born in Portland, OR on October 8, 1946 to her parents Jack and Deloris Powell. She attended Marycrest High School in Portland, earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Portland as well as a Masters degree in Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She worked as a Medical Technologist at Kaiser.
She was a devout Catholic and spent many hours volunteering her time for the poor through St Vincent de Paul. Her hobbies included traveling, gardening, sewing, baking pies, attending/hosting PWOP events and most of all cheering on her children and grandchildren at all their athletic competitions. She never missed a thing!
Barbara will be remembered most for her kind and gentle spirit, her faith, her devotion to her family, service to the poor and her life of prayer.
She is survived by her sister, two children and their spouses and five grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Friday June 3rd, 10:30am rosary, 11:00am funeral mass at St John the Apostle Catholic Church, 410 Center Street, Oregon City 97045. Burial at the St Francis area at Mt Calvary Catholic Cemetery will be for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Vincent de Paul, Christ the King, 7414 SE Michael Dr, Milwaukie, OR 97232.
