Amado "Nacho" Ignacio Santos Tello, beloved son, brother, cousin and friend died tragically, at the age of 24, after being shot while working in NE Portland. Nacho, as friends and family called him, was beloved as a “cheerful loving brother” and a “good kid.”
Amado brought joy to his family who will remember him as both a confidant and a generous person. He was outgoing and enjoyed barbecues with friends and family in his backyard. He was also a strong advocate for his large family.
Amado was a musician. He loved drumming and became so enthusiastic at times, that his family had to ask him to “tone it down.” He shared this talent with a local indigenous group that promotes culture. By his participation with this group, Azteca Mexica Tiahui, he inspired other young people to learn the skill of drumming.
Amado is survived by his parents, Amadeo Santos and Martha Tello, his brother, Rolando Santos Tello, his sisters Erica Santos Tello, Graciela Santos Tello and Beyri Santos Tello and his grandparents, Macedonio Tello and Alicia Hernandez. Amado was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ignacio Santos and Porfiria Alvarado.
